Customizable 16 Day Forecasts
Set your preferred conditions for any spot and see when they'll be met. Hourly forecasts available for 5 days with extended 16-day forecasts let you start planning the excuses to your boss far in advance.

What makes Forsea different?
Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to surfing. Forsea is the only app that lets you dial in your preferred conditions at all of your spots. Our live data-first approach is built to give you the best, no-nonsense experience possible. We don't want to waste your time with false promises of "epic" waves, only to be let down when you get to the beach—or worse, get told it sucks when it's actually firing.
How customizable are your spot settings?
If you want, you can customize just about every aspect of your alerts. Set any time of day, wave heights, wind directions and speeds, swell angles, periods, tide positions and directions, and more! If you can imagine it, you can probably set it. If not, let us know!
I'm new to surfing, is Forsea for me?
Of course! Forsea is designed to be easy to use for surfers of all skill levels. Our features are designed to grow with you as you progress further into the sport and carve your own path. If you're a little overwhelmed, we have tutorials and guides to help you get started!
How fast is your live data?
While other applications have condition reporting delays of up to 45 minutes, Forsea's data ingestion system ensures that information is available within seconds of being published by a station.
How often will I receive notifications?
Spots can send one live alert and one forecast alert per day, but we won't flood your inbox with notifications from different spots. You can receive a maximum of one Live and one Forecast email per day (if conditions are met). Emails can contain alerts from multiple spots.
Why aren't you on the app store?
Forsea is installable as a PWA (Progressive Web App) on your device. A PWA is a web page that looks and feels like a regular app. As a solo developer, it allows me to focus on one codebase across all devices and operating systems.
Free? What's the catch?
Forsea is currently free because we're still in the early stages of development. There will be some bugs and things will change as we find our groove. This can't last forever, but we will do something special for our early users so sign up now! We don't have investors or a board to answer to, so we are free to make the best app we can for you.

Based on the East Coast of the US, Forsea is developed by a solo developer with a passion for the ocean. He is a longtime surfer who also happens to have a love for technology.

A surfer and software engineer tired of conventional forecasting apps, I started building Forsea to make better calls at the spots I surf. With a lifelong love for the ocean, I bring a unique perspective to the team through my experience as both a surfer and a pilot. Forsea is where I'm combining years of surf, weather, and technical knowledge to create a unique new tool for real surfers and other ocean enthusiasts.
